Born into a lower-middle-class family, Vasundhara arrived in Hyderabad with one dream — to become an anchor. After a year of struggle with no backing, she took her first opportunity: a content writing role at ₹7,000/month. She climbed to Program Head at TV9, NTV, 6TV, and Navtej TV.
Despite discrimination due to her disability, she chose resilience — founding Weave Media as a platform for Persons with Disabilities and non-disabled dreamers alike. Today, Weave Media serves 300+ clients across government and private sectors.

DE-Hub – Different Entrepreneurship Hub is India's first incubation centre dedicated to empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through entrepreneurship from Gurthimpu Foundation.
We believe disability should never limit someone's ability to dream, innovate, build a business or create employment.
Through our 12-month Entrepreneurship Development Programme, we equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge, confidence and skills to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses.

Recently, 50 PwD entrepreneurs successfully completed their pre-incubation programme. They are now ready to take their validated ideas to the next level through an intensive 4-month incubation programme to develop full-fledged startups.

- Marketing, branding, sales and customer engagement.

people in India are living with 21 recognised types of disabilities.
50 lakh
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together have the second-highest population of persons with disabilities.
The situation highlights several challenges
55%of persons with disabilities are literate
8%of those have completed graduation
36%are accessing employment and other opportunities
80%live in rural areas
The remaining population largely depends on government pensions and family support.
The Challenges They Face
Due to limited mobility, inaccessible environments, physical dependency, social stigma and societal underestimation, many persons with disabilities lose access to education, employment and other opportunities.
As a result, they often become financially dependent on their families and socially isolated. This also creates an economic burden on families and the government.

From Dependency to Entrepreneurship
Through DE-Hub, we are creating an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem for persons with disabilities.
We support aspiring entrepreneurs through:
- Entrepreneurship training and skill development.
- Access to tools, technology and resources.
- Mentorship and business development support.
- Access to finance and seed funding.
- Accessible co-working spaces and maker spaces.
- Market linkages and networking opportunities.
- Startup development and business establishment support.
Why Financial Support is Critical
There are also policy-level challenges that affect entrepreneurs with disabilities.
For example, registering a business as a Private Limited Company or under certain other business structures may affect their eligibility for existing disability pensions and benefits.
Every startup requires time to grow and become financially sustainable. It can take at least three years to establish a stable business.
Seed funding per entrepreneur₹2 – 5 Lakh
To bridge this initial financial gap, we aim to provide seed funding ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh per entrepreneur to help them establish and operate their businesses.
Our 10 aspiring entrepreneurs are persons with disabilities from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We cannot make this journey possible without your support.
